Overview
Arclo Studios ("we," "us," or "our") builds iOS apps including QuestBuddy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices for the data involved in using our apps. The short version: we don't collect your personal data. Your information stays on your device and in your private iCloud account.
Information We Do Not Collect
Arclo Studios does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your location data
- Your game notes, sections, or any content you create in the app
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data beyond what Apple's platform collects automatically
Data Stored on Your Device
All content you create in our apps — game records, notes, sections, blueprints, and session data — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never passes through our servers because we don't have any.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud Drive enabled, your app data may sync across your Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, not ours. Arclo Studios cannot access, view, or retrieve your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs how iCloud handles your data.
Camera and Photo Library
Some apps (including QuestBuddy) may request access to your camera or photo library to let you set custom cover images for your games. Photos are processed entirely on your device. No images are transmitted to Arclo Studios or any third party.
Notifications
Apps may request permission to send local notifications (such as game reminders). These notifications are generated on your device and do not involve any server communication on our end.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Arclo Studios does not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Third-Party Services
Our apps do not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or tracking frameworks. We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any data to share.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, this applies equally to all users.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted within the app on next launch. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
